2D4 Textiles – Digital Transformation of Sportswear Manufacturing
2D4 Textiles s.r.o., a manufacturer of sports and custom-made textiles based in Rousínov, has undergone a digital transformation. A new system featuring a 3D configurator, integrated with an internal NAS, has unified and clarified client consultation communication. The result is increased efficiency in creating custom designs, improved presentation of proposals, and fully digitalized communication with customers as well as internal data handling. The system also includes integration with reported outputs presented in Power BI.

The company focuses on small-batch and custom sportswear manufacturing, where a high level of customization, speed, and delivery efficiency is required. The project was implemented between 2022 and 2024 as part of the 1st call of the Virtual Enterprise program.
Challenges
Inefficient and unclear communication
Customer communication was conducted through fragmented analog channels and inconsistent design formats, leading to misunderstandings, repeated inquiries, and unnecessary delays in the approval process.
Lack of a managerial and reporting system
Employee performance was evaluated manually using multiple data sources, which was time-consuming, error-prone, and failed to provide management with up-to-date data for fast decision-making.
Limited presentation of graphic designs
Graphic designs were sent to customers only as 2D email attachments, without a realistic product preview, which often led to misunderstandings of the design and the need for additional revisions.
Our solutions
Centralized and transparent communication
We designed and implemented a unified communication system that connects customers and employees in one place, enables 3D previews of designs, their unambiguous approval, and tracking of revision history. The result is clear, transparent, and fully traceable communication without information loss.
Automated reporting and managerial overview
The system was designed to systematically collect data on employee performance as well as the time and process demands of individual clients, and to automatically process and visualize this data in Power BI. Users have access to up-to-date dashboards and reports directly within the application, without the need to work in the Power BI environment.
Three key integration areas of digitalization
The digitalization took place across three key areas: unifying communication with complete history in a single location and full team substitutability; centralizing graphic designs in a current version accessible online, including for clients; and strengthening cybersecurity through a cloud-based architecture with controlled access. The result is greater transparency, error elimination, and secure data handling.
